Hawkeye Gold, LLC is an operating subsidiary of Hawkeye Energy Holdings, LLC, a privately owned, Iowa based renewable energy company. Hawkeye Gold provides professional marketing services for distiller grains and other co-products from dry mill ethanol plants. We have an industry leading team with many years of experience in marketing distillers and other commodities, and have access to a wide range of local, domestic and international marketplaces. We continue to produce and promote top quality premium golden color distiller grains that are highly nutritious and well suited for animal feed.

We work closely with management at each of our plants to ensure quality products are being produced by reducing variability. All of our plants test their products frequently for proximates and minerals, as well as mycotoxins, amino acids and color. We desire to share that data with our customers in order for them to be able to formulate nutritious rations for their livestock, so that they can maximize their cost savings.

The Hawkeye Gold team is dedicated to producing a product for our customers that we are proud to put the Hawkeye Gold name brand on. Today, Hawkeye Gold is marketing distillers for a total of five ethanol plants. By the end of 2008, we expect to be marketing for eight plants, and by the end of 2009 our plant base will grow to 10-12 plants. Our total tons of distillers available to the marketplace by the end of 2009 will be approximately 3.5 million tons. With our volume and economies of scale, we are well positioned to help grow the market and educate end-users on the value of distillers in livestock rations. We offer a unified market presence with all of our client-plants creating a global, consistent and nutritional product for all end-users.

First and foremost, Hawkeye Gold believes the local marketplace is one of utmost value and potential. For every three bushels of corn we purchase we return one bushel back to the local market in the form of highly nutritious, golden distillers grains. We have at least one merchandiser stationed at each of our ethanol plants who specifically promotes and sells our distillers products to local livestock producers and interacts with local producers and feed companies on a daily basis. We believe that by having this personal relationship we are providing our valued local customer with the best service we can deliver by increasing accountability, quality control, education opportunities and information.

Here at Hawkeye, we pride ourselves on providing excellent service in the national and international marketplaces. We have plants located on all major rail lines, including the UP and BN railroads, as well as other rail lines including the CN, IAIS, and IANR. This allows us access to serve all of the major markets in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. All of our rail cars are under private lease giving us flexibility in our shipments. In addition to our rail service, we also have several plants that can ship product down the Mississippi River to be exported to the Gulf of Mexico, as well as ship containers to several terminals around the country for export to Asia. By being diversified in how we are able to transport our product, we feel we can better serve our customer needs and wants. We focus on providing excellent service to our national and international marketplace customers in terms of transportation, availability, quality and timeliness.

From our local producers in Iowa to our national and international customers, we continue to grow and produce the best possible product available for our customers. Going from five plants in 2008 to almost twelve plants by the end of 2009, we are a well positioned company to help grow the market and educate end-users on the value of feeding our golden distillers grain to their livestock.
